Over at the State Library of Queensland, tucked away in a riverside basement lives The Edge. The Edge is a the model for the next generation of library – one that empowers people to ‘explore creativity across art, science, technology and enterprise’.

They offer workshops, a fab lab (with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines and sewing facilities), meeting spaces and excellent coffee.

Recently under the banner of ‘MakeIt’, they have released a range of open source, creative commons licensed (free to use and duplicate with attribution) workshops dealing with science, electronics, robots and even film, that you can now access and download here…  These workshops and have full materials lists, instructions, templates, durations and even curriculum links to help you plan and deliver each workshop.
